Another 100 individuals have graduated from the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center.

The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, established jointly by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, and Israel’s Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, has hosted its fourth Graduation Day.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Farid Osmanov, highlighted the center’s contributions to the country’s cybersecurity landscape: “The Digital Development Concept, approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on January 16, 2025, aims to protect state, business, and personal data, enhance digital literacy in society, and develop professional ICT specialists. The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center continues to play a vital role in supporting this process.”

He emphasized that the center actively contributes to the training of cybersecurity professionals and instructors while fostering the development of a robust cybersecurity ecosystem.

Representatives from partner organizations, including Technion, also addressed the event, underscoring the program’s significance, objectives, and future outlook. Shahmar Hacıyayev, Head of the Information Security Department at IDDA, presented an overview of the center’s activities, newly designed programs, projects, and key statistics. In 2024, a total of 160 individuals successfully completed training at the center. Notably, 60 graduates from the defense (Blue Team) and offensive (Red Team) tracks were selected from over 2,000 applicants last year, earning a place at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center.

During the training, students gained hands-on experience in cutting-edge cybersecurity strategies, technologies, and innovations under the guidance of international experts. Additionally, this year marked the debut of Purple Team training, which integrates both offensive and defensive approaches, producing 40 graduates.

The program is specifically designed for professionals with over two years of experience in the private and public sectors. As part of the event, graduates presented their final projects, demonstrating how they applied their knowledge to real-world challenges. The ceremony concluded with the recognition of two top-performing graduates and the awarding of certificates to 100 participants by attending officials.
