How is the accuracy of digital identity cards verified?

Through this platform, the accuracy of digital identity cards submitted by citizens can be verified.
The “mygov Checker” platform, provided by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, allows government agencies, organizations, and companies to verify the accuracy of digital identity cards presented by citizens.
This platform operates through both a mobile application and a website, enabling faster and more secure verification of the authenticity of digital documents and data provided by citizens via “mygov.” It is worth noting that, through “mygov Checker,” not only identity cards but also other documents and data obtained from the “mygov” platform can be verified for accuracy. Authorized personnel of the service-providing institutions and organizations (such as heads, directors, etc.) should grant relevant permissions to their employees who will perform the verifications and other operations via the portal at https://checker.e-gov.az/.
You can find detailed instructions on how to use “mygov Checker” here: https://checker.e-gov.az/static-files/istifade-telimati.pdf
How can citizens present their digital identity cards? Through QR code and document number: To share the identity card, the citizen clicks the “Share” button in the “mygov” mobile application. A dynamic QR code and an 8-character (alphanumeric) document number appear on the screen. The operator can click the “Scan QR” button in the “mygov Checker” app to scan the QR code or search using the document number.
Additionally, there is a search option based on the document number at the https://checker.e-gov.az portal. The queried digital identity card data will appear on the operator's smartphone or web screen. Through an electronic certificate: The citizen can download and present an electronic certificate related to their identity card from “mygov.” The operator enters the 16-character code from the certificate into the “Enter document number” section of the mobile app or web portal and clicks the “Verify” button.
The verification history of the data submitted by citizens will be displayed in the “My Shared Data” section of the “mygov” mobile app. It is worth mentioning that, according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 16, 2024, the digital identity card holds the same legal power as a physical identity card. Citizens can present their digital identity cards via “mygov” whenever physical identity cards are required.
