The first selection phase of the “Digital Azerbaijan Talent School” training camp, organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) in collaboration with Germany’s renowned Constructor University, has concluded. A total of 57 participants were selected for the “Advanced Computer Science Skills” track, and 45 for the “Girls in IT” track. Participants hail not only from Baku but also from various regions of Azerbaijan.

The opening ceremony of the second (offline) phase took place on September 2, 2024. Key speakers included Fuad Hajiyev, Advisor to the Chairman of IDDA; Aleksei Gusev, Program Manager; and Olga Kornienko, Representative of Constructor University, along with members of the university’s academic team. During the event, detailed information about the program was shared, and initial introductions were made with participants.

This hybrid program (combining online and offline sessions) spans September to November 2024. Offline lessons are scheduled daily from September 2-12, lasting eight hours each day, while online lessons will run six hours per week for eight weeks.

The training camp focuses on two main tracks:

  1. Advanced Computer Science Skills – Designed to prepare participants for international programming Olympiads.
  2. Girls in IT – Aimed at promoting ICT careers among young women.

The program’s primary goal is to enhance algorithmic thinking and professional programming skills. By participating in the Digital Azerbaijan Talent School, students can prepare for Olympiad-style competitions, gain admission to international educational programs, and build the skills necessary for a successful career in programming.
