The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center and the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Industry and Innovation will collaborate.

The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC), operating under the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Industry and Innovation as part of the "Brain Center" project.

Under this agreement, the ACC will implement the following initiatives at the Vocational Education Center:

  • Evaluation and Enhancement of Curricula: The syllabi for courses in information and communication technologies, information security, and cybersecurity will be reviewed, new topics will be proposed, and updates will be made to align with modern standards.

  • Training and Seminars: Various training sessions and seminars will be organized for teachers and students on programming in computer systems, information and communication technologies, and cybersecurity.

  • Internship Opportunities: A portion of the students will have the opportunity to complete their industrial internships at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, with the necessary resources and infrastructure to be explored for this process.

  • Lectures and Workshops: ACC experts will conduct both in-person and online lectures and workshops for students. When necessary, specialists will be involved in the teaching process as instructors.

  • Hands-on Training: ACC professionals and Agency staff will actively participate in practical training sessions, providing students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

  • Access to Advanced Facilities: In cases where the Vocational Education Center lacks adequate laboratory facilities, practical training will be conducted using ACC's resources.

  • Credit Recognition: As part of ACC's collaboration with Israel’s Technion Research and Development Foundation, credits for relevant courses taken within the training program will be recognized.

  • Support for Cyber Clubs: Assistance will be provided in establishing Cyber Clubs within educational institutions, along with the development of their operational plans.

It should be noted that the "Brain Center" project aims to enhance human capital in the field of cybersecurity through education and professional training. The initiative seeks to integrate the latest global trends and modern developments in cybersecurity into the curriculum of higher education and vocational institutions. Additionally, the project includes the installation of state-of-the-art training equipment, the creation of virtual laboratories, and the provision of opportunities for students to gain professional experience. Within the scope of the project, Cyber Clubs are also being established at universities, helping students understand labor market requirements and adapt their education accordingly.
