The Updated “mygov” platform celebrates its first anniversary

One year has passed since the launch of the updated “mygov” platform. As one of the key steps in building a digital government, the platform has quickly proven itself by offering citizens more convenient, accessible, and flexible public services.
Over the past year, the range of digital services available on the platform has expanded significantly. A total of 33 government services were redesigned and digitized, bringing the overall number of digital services on “mygov” to 386. The number of datasets available in digital form reached 69. Meanwhile, the number of platform users increased to 1.68 million.
Through “mygov,” citizens can access essential services such as criminal record, family composition and status certificates, education and military service records, issuance of powers of attorney, updating utility subscriber information, debt statements, vaccination records, e-prescriptions, medical referrals, laboratory test results, and health certificates.
Notably, major progress has been made in the digitalization of life events. Marriage, birth, and death certificates can now be obtained digitally, enabling citizens to meet daily needs more quickly and conveniently. The “Journey to Karabakh” service has also been integrated, allowing citizens to apply digitally for permits to visit the liberated territories. In addition, IMEI registration, as well as payment of fines, utility bills, and other services, can now be completed directly through the platform.
Over the past year, “mygov” introduced several new features, including the ability for citizens to directly manage their consent for data access requests from private entities. This not only enhances transparency but also ensures safer data exchange.
The rollout of digital documents stands as one of the platform’s most significant innovations. Identity cards, international passports, driving licenses, marriage certificates, student IDs, and other documents are now available in electronic format via “mygov.” Legislative amendments granted 27 types of digital documents the same legal force as their physical counterparts, accelerating the transition to a “paperless government” and further advancing digital governance.
The first year of the updated “mygov” platform marks an important milestone in the development of digital government in Azerbaijan. Looking ahead, the platform will continue to introduce innovative services designed to simplify citizens’ lives while saving both time and resources.
