A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of this agreement, a number of initiatives will be implemented to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of cybersecurity for students of the SABAH groups, based on the "Brain Center" project of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center. These initiatives will focus on applying modern teaching methods and developing practical skills.
The syllabi of courses in the fields of information security and cybersecurity will be reassessed, new topics will be added, and they will be updated in accordance with modern requirements. Various workshops, seminars, and training sessions will be organized for students and teachers in these fields. The possibility of organizing industrial practice for some students at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center will be explored. Lectures and seminars (remote or in-person) will be conducted by experts from the Cybersecurity Center, and they may be involved in the teaching process as instructors.
Using the resources of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, the laboratories of educational institutions will be developed. Additionally, within the framework of the Agency's cooperation with the Technion Development and Research Fund of Israel, the students of the SABAH groups from science and education institutions under the State Agency will be involved in the training programs at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, and the credits for the same courses they complete will be recognized.
Moreover, support will be provided for the establishment of "Cyber Clubs" at the institutions where the students are studying and the development of their activity plans. Experts from the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center will participate in practical classes and provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
To expand internship opportunities, the organization of industrial practice at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center and the creation of additional opportunities for this process are planned. The main goal of this collaboration is to contribute to the training of knowledgeable and skilled specialists in the field of cybersecurity in the country, as well as to expand teaching and practical experience opportunities in modern technologies.
