
About the Centre
The ITU Acceleration Centre (IAC) in Azerbaijan is established through a strategic cooperation between the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As part of ITU’s global network of Acceleration Centres, this initiative aims to foster digital innovation, support startup ecosystems and advance digital transformation in Azerbaijan and the broader region. Its primary goal is to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship potential, promote ecosystem collaboration, and accelerate digital transformation both within the CIS region and beyond.
Mission and Vision
To strengthen innovation capabilities and accelerate digital transformation
by enhancing national and regional capacity in digital entrepreneurship,
in line with global development goals such as the Kigali Action Plan
and outcomes of the Plenipotentiary Conference 2022.
Its primary goal is to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship potential,
promote ecosystem collaboration, and accelerate digital transformation both
within the CIS region and beyond.
