A cybersecurity awareness training has been conducted for media representatives

A cybersecurity awareness training for media representatives was organized at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center operating under the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA). The training was conducted within the framework of the Center’s CyberCollab project.

The main objective of the training was to enhance media representatives’ awareness of existing cyber threats in an increasingly digitalized world, as well as to provide practical knowledge on types of cyberattacks targeting media organizations and effective protection methods against them.

The training sessions were delivered by information security experts from IDDA. During the sessions, participants were presented with up-to-date cyber threat trends, real-life examples of social engineering attacks, and practical recommendations on ensuring digital security. In addition, detailed information was provided on the importance of adhering to cybersecurity best practices when using widely adopted artificial intelligence–based platforms.

It should be noted that, as part of the joint initiative of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, this marks the third such event held this year with the aim of increasing cybersecurity awareness among media representatives. Overall, more than 100 media professionals have participated in these trainings throughout the year.
