A new chairperson has been appointed to the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

Farid Osmanov has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA).

It is noted that this position was held by İnarə Vəliyeva since 2023. Under her leadership, the Agency accomplished several key tasks in the development of digital government, innovation ecosystem, and ICT human capital. Inara Valiyeva successfully completed her responsibilities, and the chairmanship has now been handed over to Farid Osmanov for the next term.

Farid Osmanov holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the Finance and Credit Faculty at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. He also completed his studies at the Information Technology and Management Faculty of the same university, specializing in information technology in the global economy, and later earned a master's degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of Manchester, UK. He holds international certifications in IT service management and information security management.

He has worked in various positions in the Information Technology Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) since 2005, and in 2013, he was appointed as the department's director. From 2020, he continued his work as the Chief Director at the CBA. Since August 2024, he has served as an advisor to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport.
