A special competition for young programmers was held in Baku.
A special competition for young programmers was organized jointly by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Baku State University, the ICPC Azerbaijan community, and Caspian Event Organisers.
The competition aimed to honor the legacy of Ramin Mahmudzada, the first Azerbaijani programmer and a recipient of the “Shohrat” Order, to showcase new talents, and to equip young people with knowledge and skills in programming.
Around 50 students from higher education institutions with an interest in programming participated in the event. They individually tackled specially designed programming tasks over a four-hour period.
The results were evaluated automatically, and the top three winners will be awarded special prizes and certificates on the stage of the ICPC 2025 World Finals, taking place from August 31 to September 5 at the Baku Congress Center.
This initiative played an important role in introducing Ramin Mahmudzada’s scientific achievements to younger generations, developing students’ skills, discovering new talents, and expanding collaboration opportunities among programmers.
