Citizens will be able to obtain a certificate of single status in digital form.
Citizens will now be able to obtain a certificate of marital status in digital form.
A new service titled "Marital Status Certificate" (Single Status Certificate) has been launched on the "mygov" platform. With this update, citizens will be able to receive a document confirming their single marital status in a fully digital form.
The "Marital Status Certificate" (Single Status Certificate) may be required when entering a new marriage, registering a marriage abroad, for civil legal matters (such as inheritance or immigration procedures), or when applying for citizenship or permanent residence in foreign countries. It should be noted that the integration of this service into the "mygov" platform was implemented through the joint collaboration of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The usage process of the service is as follows:
• The citizen logs into the "mygov" platform and navigates to the "Services" section to select the "Single Status Certificate" service.
• Click on the "New Application" button. • Select the destination for the certificate: country or embassy.
• Choose the appropriate country or embassy from the list.
• Enter contact number and email address.
• Add additional information in the notes section (optional).
• Confirm the entered information.
• Finally, the application is forwarded to the Ministry of Justice. Once the document is ready, the user can access the certificate by clicking the "View Document" button in the "History" section of the "mygov" platform.
There is no state fee required for obtaining the "Marital Status Certificate" (Single Status Certificate). Prior to this update, citizens had to personally visit physical service centers and registration offices to obtain a single status certificate, going through a number of administrative procedures. The new digital approach fully electronicizes this process, providing maximum convenience to citizens, saving them time and resources, and improving flexibility and accessibility to government services.
