Citizens will now be able to issue power of attorney for lawyers and banks through the mygov platform

To ensure accessibility of digital services for citizens through a unified platform, two more new services have been launched on the mygov platform. The services “Certification of a power of attorney issued to a lawyer” and “Issuance of a power of attorney for the use of bank services,” provided by the Ministry of Justice, have been integrated into the mygov platform. The services are accessible to citizens both via the my.gov.az portal and the mygov mobile application.

Through the “Issuance of a power of attorney for the use of bank services” service, a citizen can authorize another person to carry out banking operations on their behalf (such as opening an account, withdrawing funds, making transfers, etc.). The “Certification of a power of attorney issued to a lawyer” service is a document confirming that a person has authorized a lawyer to resolve legal matters on their behalf, represent them in court, and perform other legal actions.

To use the services, a citizen enters the “Services” section in the mygov application. For the “Bank power of attorney,” the relevant service is selected under the “Employment” category, while for the “Lawyer power of attorney,” it is selected under the “Personal” category. After entering the required information, the power of attorney is issued to the relevant person.

Users can track the status of their application through the “Application history” section and gain access to the document once it is ready.

It should be noted that, along with these services, 5 services of the Ministry of Justice based on various life events, 6 services related to notarial activities, as well as services providing information on translation and enforcement proceedings concerning individuals had previously been integrated into the mygov platform.
