Citizens will now be able to set time limits on the consent they give for access to their data requested by private entities.

Citizens can easily manage their consent for the processing of their personal data by private entities through the “mygov” platform. With the newly introduced feature, citizens can grant consent by specifying a validity period for the data request. It is possible to set the duration of consent (temporary or permanent), which provides more precise control over the use of their data.

Citizens can monitor the consents they have given in the “Requested Data” section of the “mygov” platform, set or modify the validity period of these consents, and suspend or reactivate them at any time. When a validity period is set, the entity can only request the citizen’s data through “mygov” within the specified timeframe. If the consent is suspended, the respective private entities’ access to this data is completely restricted.

Thus, this new functionality added to the “mygov” platform enables citizens to manage their data digitally in a more efficient and secure manner.
