Electronic admission to preschool education institutions has started: key points parents need to know
The admission process for children to preschool education institutions is now carried out through the “mygov” platform. Citizens can digitally register their children in the queue and manage their applications. The electronic document submission service is available only via the my.gov.az web portal.
The process of creating electronic queues for preschool institutions operating under regional education departments and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been activated as of July 7.
Electronic queues for the city of Baku will be activated gradually starting today. Specifically, queues for children born in 2021 and 2022 will be available at 11:00, while those for children born in 2023, 2024, and 2025 will be available at 15:00.
It should be noted that if a child was previously registered in the bq.edu.az information system by one of the parents, the application on the “mygov” platform must also be submitted through the personal account of that same parent. The registration process can only be continued through the account to which the child is linked.
To use the service, a child who is a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan must have an ID card. Foreign citizens and stateless persons are required to provide a temporary or permanent residence permit, while those without a residence permit must present a Protection Certificate issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
During the transition phase of the system, only the data of children born between 2021 and 2025 is displayed, and their registration is possible.
Parents can select up to three preschool institutions when submitting an application. Once admission to any one of the selected kindergartens is confirmed, other active queue entries are automatically canceled.
Currently, there is no need to reapply for children who are already enrolled in a preschool institution. However, if a parent wishes to transfer their child to another kindergarten, they may submit a new application. After admission to the new kindergarten is confirmed, the child must be withdrawn from their current institution in order to finalize the process.
