IDDA and the Digital Cooperation Organization Announce a Joint Action Plan

A meeting was held between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO). The event was attended by Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of IDDA; Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of the DCO; and representatives of around 30 companies representing Azerbaijan’s startup and ICT ecosystem. The meeting focused on an exchange of views on digital transformation, the innovation ecosystem, startups, and opportunities for technology companies to access regional and global markets.
Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of IDDA, delivered a presentation on “Azerbaijan’s Digital Development and Innovation Ecosystem.” He provided information on Azerbaijan’s digital transformation agenda, the development of digital government and public services, the innovation and startup ecosystem, and opportunities created for Technopark residents and ICT companies. The IDDA official also spoke about Azerbaijan’s priorities in digital development and artificial intelligence, efforts to increase the export potential of products and services developed by the country’s ICT companies, and legislative proposals aimed at strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
In her remarks, Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of the DCO, provided information on the organization’s activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening digital cooperation among member states. She also highlighted the DCO’s efforts to develop innovation ecosystems, expand cooperation with the private sector and startups, and facilitate the access of technology companies to regional and global markets.
The meeting continued with a brief information session featuring representatives of Azerbaijan’s startup and Technopark ecosystem. During the session, companies presented their core areas of activity, products and technological solutions, as well as their international growth and foreign market expansion goals. This format facilitated direct engagement between local technology companies and the DCO and created an opportunity to discuss potential areas of cooperation.
At the end of the event, a Joint Action Plan between IDDA and the DCO was announced. The document provides for the systematic development of cooperation in digital transformation and innovation, including expanding the connections between Azerbaijan’s innovation ecosystem and the DCO’s international network, as well as promoting new partnership and market access opportunities for local startups and ICT companies.
