Innovation cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel is strengthening.

The Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding economic, industrial, scientific, and technological cooperation in the field of innovation.
The memorandum outlines key initiatives, including the establishment of a Center of Excellence in Azerbaijan to study innovation and best practices, the implementation of training programs, the development of human capital, and other strategic initiatives.
Highlighting the significance of the memorandum, IDDA Chairman Farid Osmanov stated that the agency is committed to deepening innovation cooperation with the Israeli technology company: "We aim to collaborate with Israel's academic and technological institutions to bring their advanced expertise to Azerbaijan and foster knowledge exchange. Among the initial initiatives, we will focus on human capital development and the creation of innovative solutions in partnership with Azercosmos.
Particular attention will be given to artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, sustainable space, and energy technologies."
Eytan Eshel, Chief Technology Officer at Israel Aerospace Industries, emphasized that the establishment of the Center of Excellence signifies a deepening technological collaboration between Azerbaijan and Israel. According to him, this agreement enables both countries to elevate their innovation and technological potential to a new level while creating real opportunities for developing a strong human capital base in this sector. As part of the cooperation, joint events, seminars, forums, and training programs will be organized to facilitate knowledge exchange.
Notably, during COP29, IDDA organized the event "Digital Green Horizons: Integrating Government and Technological Solutions for a Sustainable Future," which featured a panel session with Israel Aerospace Industries. This session laid the foundation for continued collaboration between the two entities.
