Registration is opening for the second cohort of “IT SkillSprint,” an intensive, internationally recognized education program for students. The program will provide students with opportunities to gain practical knowledge in artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity, software development, and other emerging technology fields, work on real-world projects, and build their careers.

 

The program is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and the international education company Ironhack.

 

The primary objective is to develop students’ digital skills, prepare them to meet the demands of the international labor market, and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and industry. The initiative also aims to introduce global IT education standards at Azerbaijani universities.

 

Students enrolled at higher education institutions in Baku and Sumgayit who will be studying in the second semester of their third year and were admitted to university with an entrance exam score of 400 or higher are eligible to participate. Applications are open only to students majoring in IT and related fields.

 

As part of the selection process, applicants must successfully complete a test assessing their foundational knowledge and pass an interview. A total of 220 students are expected to be selected for the program.

 

The six-month program, running from February to July 2027, will offer training in the following areas:

 

• AI Engineering Bootcamp

• Cybersecurity and AI Bootcamp

• Data Science and AI Bootcamp

• Software Development and AI Bootcamp

• Cloud and Platform Engineering and AI Bootcamp

 

Training will be delivered in a hybrid format. At various stages of the program, international mentors will conduct intensive training sessions in Baku. Through bootcamp-style classes, students will work on real-world projects, gain hands-on experience, and build portfolios they can showcase when applying for future jobs.

 

In addition, hackathons, career fairs, and networking events will be organized to help students establish professional connections.

 

One of the key benefits of the program is the recognition of students’ university credits during the training period. Through the recognition of relevant academic credits, participants will be exempted from attending classes in other subjects, allowing them to dedicate their time and attention exclusively to the program for six months.

 

Participants who successfully complete the program will receive an internationally recognized certificate from Ironhack.
