New training programs have been launched at Holberton School Azerbaijan

Within the joint collaboration between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), PASHA Holding, and Holberton School Azerbaijan, four new training programs have been launched.

On 25 November, the official opening ceremony of the new training cohort took place. The event featured opening remarks by Shamsi Bayramzade, Executive Director of Holberton School Azerbaijan; Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of IRIA; Tughra Musayeva, representative of PASHA Holding; as well as Florian Bucher, Co-founder of Holberton School. During the speeches, speakers highlighted the importance of the programs, their contribution to the development of the country’s ICT ecosystem, and future collaboration opportunities in this field.

The event continued with presentations of graduates’ achievements, a speech from newly admitted students sharing their expectations and gratitude, and the screening of a video showcasing moments from the first days of training.

Out of 5,213 applications submitted to Holberton School Azerbaijan, 200 participants were selected for enrollment. The program aims to graduate 160 students.

The training will be conducted in five tracks: “Full-Stack Web Development and AI” (9 months), “Cybersecurity” (10 months), “Machine Learning” (10 months), “Computer Science” (9 months), and “Generative AI” (3 months). It should be noted that admissions for the “Generative AI” track are planned to open in February 2026.

The primary goal of the program is to prepare qualified ICT professionals, attract individuals who have completed secondary education or discontinued their studies, support those seeking a career change, enhance digital literacy across the country, and contribute to the nation’s economic development in this field.

Since beginning operations in Azerbaijan in 2023, Holberton School Azerbaijan has graduated 129 students, 94 of whom completed the program through cooperation with IRIA. The employment rate among graduates stands at 74%.

Holberton School Azerbaijan is part of the globally recognized Holberton School network. The project aims to equip students with practical, hands-on experience through self-directed learning, research, and real-world project work. For the past two years, IDDA has been partnering with Holberton School to bring international ICT training standards and expertise to the country.
