Notifications about information inquiries have now started being sent to citizens via the “mygov” platform
A new functionality has been launched on the “mygov” digital government platform. Citizens can now receive notifications when their data is queried by private entities.
With this update, users can more easily monitor which organizations are accessing their information through both the “mygov” mobile app and web platform. As soon as a query is made, the system automatically sends a notification to the citizen. By clicking the notification, the user is redirected to the “Notifications” module and can access more detailed information via the “View History” button. If the user does not want their data to be queried by the company (or organization) listed in the notification, they may block the request through the “Manage Permissions” module.
The key goal of this new feature is to enhance citizens’ control over their personal information. Thanks to this improvement, citizens are promptly informed when their data is accessed and can more easily oversee the process.
Data queries are grouped into seven categories based on their content: personal data, employment, family, education, transport, social protection and welfare, and communications. This allows users to see which organization accessed their data and under which category, enabling more efficient monitoring of information flow.
It should be noted that digital management of citizen consent for the use of personal data is also among the functionalities offered by the “mygov” platform. Through the “Manage Permissions” section, citizens can track data queries from private companies, manage the permissions they have granted, set their validity period, and deactivate or reactivate them at any time.
