Parents can submit an application through “mygov” to register their sons for initial military enlistment once they turn 15

A new digital service has been launched on the “mygov” platform. Starting in 2026, the service for initial military registration of male citizens turning 15 is now available on the platform. Through this service, parents can submit an application to register their sons for initial military enlistment.

The integration of this service into the platform was carried out through the joint collaboration of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the State Service for Mobilization and Military Recruitment of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The process of using the service involves several steps. Parents of eligible children access the platform’s “Services” section, select the “Military” category, and proceed to the “Initial Military Registration” service. On the page that opens, they click on “New Application” and select their child, who turns 15 in the current year, from the fields displaying the child’s first name, last name, and father’s name. In the next step, the child’s brief personal information is entered into the system. Individuals who completed their secondary education abroad are required to upload the corresponding certificate. Parents also provide a mobile contact number, after which the application is confirmed and submitted.

Simultaneously, a notification regarding the child’s medical examination is sent to the parent’s “mygov” account. Once the examination is completed, the citizen reaching the pre-enlistment age must personally visit the relevant department of the Service for the military medical commission.

To ensure transparency, parents can track the status of their submitted application through their personal account. Once the initial military registration process is completed, they receive a notification confirming the completion.

It should be noted that the paper-based initial military registration certificate has been abolished as of this year, and the process is now conducted entirely through the “mygov” platform.

The service is available both on the my.gov.az web portal and through the “mygov” mobile application.

It is worth recalling that through the “mygov” platform, citizens can access all military-related services digitally, including military registration, active military service, deferrals from conscription, and other military information.
