The “Bebras” Week will be held in Azerbaijan.

From November 18–24, 2025, the “Bebras” Informatics and Computational Thinking Challenge will be held in Azerbaijan, jointly organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the Azerbaijan Technical University, and “ÖzünÖyrən” LLC — the official representative of “Bebras” in Azerbaijan.

The competition, which will take place online, is open to students in grades 1–10 from all general education institutions across the country. During the challenge, students will have 40 minutes to complete tasks tailored to their grade level. The tasks are designed to develop analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

So far, more than 1,000 schools have registered for participation. To support new school coordinators, “ÖzünÖyrən” has launched a free online training course titled “Coordinating in the Bebras Competition.”

“Bebras Week” also serves as the selection phase of the competition. Students who succeed in this round will advance to the semifinal and final stages.

The main goal of the competition is to engage students in solving fun informatics challenges that require no prior programming knowledge, while fostering their algorithmic and computational thinking skills.

The International “Bebras” Challenge was first held in 2004 in Lithuania. Today, it involves hundreds of thousands of students from over 70 countries, including the USA, Germany, France, Japan, and Turkey.

In Azerbaijan, the “Bebras” competition has been held since 2014. In 2024, it covered more than 60 regions and cities, 376 schools, and engaged a total of 17,564 students. The top-performing participants were awarded valuable prizes during the ICPC World Finals.

Registration for this year’s competition is still open.
