The international IT company “Andersen Lab” has opened its regional center in Azerbaijan.

On September 11, the international IT company Andersen Lab officially inaugurated its center in Azerbaijan. The center was launched under the Azerbaijan Innovation Center initiative, organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency. Operating in more than 19 countries with over 3,700 professionals, the company will function in Azerbaijan as a technopark resident.
At the opening ceremony, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev visited the facilities of the new center. Later, Andersen Lab’s Vice President Denis Astachpenia delivered a presentation on the center’s operations and program directions.
The newly opened center provides young professionals not only with theoretical knowledge but also with the opportunity to work on real-world projects. This allows them to reinforce their skills through practice and gain competencies that meet international standards. The center also serves as the official workplace for Andersen Lab’s employees in Azerbaijan. Its main goals include supporting human capital development, addressing the shortage of IT professionals, and strengthening the export of ICT services.
One of the center’s flagship initiatives is the “IT SkillsBridge” program. Within this unique program, participants acquire knowledge and skills in Java, JavaScript programming, business analysis, quality assurance, DevOps, mobile development, and project management. Over 14,000 applications were received, with 210 participants selected for training. Employment contracts were signed with selected candidates who secured job placements at Andersen Lab. By the program’s completion, 100 specialists will continue their careers at Andersen Lab and contribute to its global projects. Notably, 30% of participants are women and 70% are men. By age, 50% are between 20–25 years old, 30% between 25–30, and 20% between 30–35.
This program is expected to expand the participation of Azerbaijani IT specialists in international projects and accelerate the country’s integration into the global digital services market. Consequently, it will positively impact the export of ICT services and increase financial inflows into Azerbaijan through international projects.
Andersen Lab’s initiative stands as a successful example of public–private sector collaboration. The project will enhance young professionals’ skills, increase their competitiveness in the labor market, and contribute to strengthening Azerbaijan’s position as a regional and global digital hub.
