The number of citizens using the digital government platform has surpassed 1.5 million.

The number of registered users on Azerbaijan's digital government platform, “mygov”, has surpassed 1.5 million. During the first seven months of 2025, both web and mobile registrations, as well as the use of digital services and documents on the platform, saw a dynamic increase.

Compared to the end of last year, new registrations this year rose by 61%, while active users grew by 34%. In the first half of the year, nearly 490,000 new users joined, with 107,400 registering in July alone. The number of active users on mygov reached 554,000, setting a record compared to previous periods.

Mygov currently offers a wide range of services, including criminal records, family composition and status certificates, education records, military service information, issuance of powers of attorney, updates to utility subscriber information, debt statements, vaccination records, e-prescriptions, medical referrals, laboratory results, health certificates, and bank card payment options. In cooperation with government agencies, additional life event services—such as obtaining marriage, birth, and death certificates—have also become more accessible via the platform.

The mygov ID functionality has played a key role in increasing the use of digital services, providing secure and convenient access to state and private systems via QR code. It also offers features such as updating personal information, password changes, multi-factor authentication, passkeys, and management of data-sharing permissions.

Currently, the platform provides 386 digital services, with the most popular being certificate issuance, utility and government service registration, and the use of digital documents. As a result of government service digitization, requests through mygov have increased more than fivefold in the first seven months of 2025 compared to the end of 2024.

Recent legislative changes have further accelerated the transition to a paperless government. Notably, 27 documents are now officially recognized on mygov with the same legal validity as physical copies. This has significantly expanded the number and variety of digital documents available, adding new types to meet citizens’ daily needs. The total number of integrated digital documents and data has reached 67, all accessible digitally without physical copies. Consequently, the use of digital documents via mygov increased by 31%, reaching 1.33 million in the first seven months of 2025.

The mygov mobile app has also become one of the most downloaded apps nationwide, ranking first on iOS and leading the productivity category on both iOS and Android. Despite less than a year since its latest update, surpassing 1.5 million registered users highlights the progress made, growing citizen demand for digital services, and strong public trust in mygov.

With ongoing platform enhancements and improved user experience, this growth trend is expected to continue in the coming months.
