EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital transformation and IT consulting, has officially announced the launch of its operations in Azerbaijan. A key focus of the partnership will be the field of artificial intelligence (AI), with EPAM bringing to Azerbaijan its proven solutions from international projects.

In Azerbaijan, the company plans to actively participate in the digitalization of public services, the expansion of the “mygov” digital ecosystem (including mygov business), and the introduction of technological solutions aimed at improving efficiency and accessibility. Special attention will also be given to the training of local IT professionals and the development of technological competencies through the EPAM Campus platform, as well as the implementation of joint projects with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and other state institutions. Within this cooperation, EPAM will integrate AI solutions to streamline process automation, improve service accuracy and speed, and enhance the user experience.

Farid Osmanov, Chairman of IDDA, stated:
“Partnership with EPAM Systems will provide a significant contribution to strengthening our country’s role in digital governance, artificial intelligence, human capital development, ICT services, and technology exports.”

“Azerbaijan stands out as a country taking bold steps and showing dynamic progress in digitalization. We are pleased to contribute to the country’s digital transformation by combining local talent with world-class expertise.”

EPAM has extensive experience in government digitalization projects worldwide, including several European countries and the Gulf region. In the United Kingdom, the company has modernized public services via the ServiceNow platform; in Ukraine, it has contributed to the development and updates of the Diia digital service; and in the United Arab Emirates, it launched the DGE OneHub platform. These projects demonstrate EPAM’s ability to tailor cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud solutions, and digital platforms to the specific needs of public governance.

In recent years, Azerbaijan has carried out consistent strategic initiatives to advance digital infrastructure, e-government, and artificial intelligence technologies. These efforts have been among the key factors influencing EPAM’s decision to establish a local presence. Digitalization is seen as one of the driving forces of sustainable economic growth in Azerbaijan, and the entry of EPAM Systems is a strong signal of trust in this vision.
